How to fix caller ID on Gevey iPhone 4

For version 4.1 to 4.3.3

Open Cydia and search for iFile and install it. iFile costs $4 but you can install the trial version for free.
Open iFile and tap on var which located on the top left, then tap on / to go to the start of the menu. now go to
  • System
  • Library
  • Frameworks
  • UIKIT.frameworks
  • PhoneFormates
Now tap on UIMobileCountryCodes.plist
Tap on edit on top left and change two things.

  • Change 202 to 011 and
  • "gr" to your country code. for example, change "gr" to "cb" for Cambodia; "gr" to "in" for India
  • save it and reboot your iPhone 4
Now go to Phone and try to enter some number and start dialing to see if you see caller ID now!

For version 5.0 to 5.1

You should just do a reset.

Go to:
  • Settings
  • General
  • Reset
  • Reset All Settings

After confirming Reset All Settings, the iPhone will reboot with factory fresh setting. So you need to slide off to set up everything again.
Note: you don't need to have internet or Apple ID to do this setup.

After you get to main menu, now quickly go to
  • Settings
  • Phones
    • Now set International Assistant to OFF

I recommend that you reboot your iPhone once again at this point. After the reboot, you will be able to receive or dial any number on your contact list with proper caller ID display.

I will post up the pictures later when i have more time....
